Mixture of Salt and Alum
Normally, alum is used for cuts or injuries in any part in the body. But alum also proves to be very beneficial for skin related problems. Anti fungal properties are found in alum, which prevents the problem of skin infection. For treating inflammation, take half a glass of water and put half a teaspoon of salt and a small piece of alum in it. Heat the water on low flame. When alum dissolves in water, take the water off the gas and cool it. Now wash your swollen fingers with this water solution using cotton. Keeping wiping all your fingers in the same manner for 5 minutes. Repeat this, twice a day, in morning and evening and continue it for next 2 to 3 days.
Onion juice

Onion juice is again another home remedy which can give you promising results when it comes to reducing swelling of your hands and feet. For this, pick an onion, extract its juice. Now apply this onion juice on the swollen areas of your hands and feet. And leave it for few minutes. Repeat this process, for two consecutive days, and this will give you relief.
Olive Oil and Turmeric

We are already aware of the anti-bacterial properties which are found in turmeric. On the other hand, the benefits of olive oil are also not a secret. So for this home remedy, take 1 teaspoon of turmeric in a bowl and add some olive oil to it and mix it into a fine paste. Now you have to apply this paste on the swollen areas of your fingers and toes. Then, leave it for 1 hour. Now, do the same for 3 to 4 times a day, you will feel assuaged. This recipe will also provide you relief from itching and pain.
