Most of the people believe that beauty is just women’s well. Yes, we can say they adore looking beautiful but it is not entirely a woman’s world. The beauty world still throws a lot of challenges to women when it talks about becoming a successful entrepreneur. So, there are some famous women entrepreneurs from the beauty industry that have made their mark on the fact that everyone should look good.
Simone Tata:
Well, she has the name TATA attached to her. But her journey is nothing less than inspirational. She has laid down the foundation of the beauty industry in India. She has helped to change a small subsidiary of Tata Oil Mills into a brand that is known as Lakme. Well, yes, she is the brains behind Lakme in India. The company has turned into the largest cosmetic brand in India. She became a part of Lakme during 1961 and has been responsible for turning the company into one of the biggest brands of beauty in India. At present, she is the Chairperson of Trent Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Group.

Vandana Luthra:
She is known to be an influential woman. In fact, she had made women believe that everyone can dream big. She was born in Delhi in 1959 and completed education from New Delhi’s Polytechnic for Women. She then undertook projects in the UK, France, and Germany to get crucial insights on nutrition, food, fitness and beauty. She started VLCC in 1989 when her daughter was a toddler. She was a homemaker who did not give in to societal pressure and household chores. Vandana Luthra has been conferred with the Padma Shri in 2013. She has been also rated the 33rd most powerful Indian female entrepreneur.
Shahnaz Hussain:
She is a well-known name and face in the Herbal Cosmetic Industry in India. She has introduced the world to the concept of herbal products. She is serving as the CEO of Shahnaz Herbals Inc. But she too had her share of problems. Shahnaz Hussain was married as a teenager. When she was just sixteen, she gave birth to a daughter. When she started going to junior school, I started going to the senior one. And that is how they became friends. She studied after marriage while taking care of all the other responsibilities. She has worked as a Beauty Editor of the Iran Tribune. Apart from that, she holds a specialization in cosmetology and trichology. Her first salon started in 1977 in the Veranda of her Delhi house with a small investment of Rs 37000 by her father. Her brand works on the concept of care and cure. Shahnaz Hussain is known as the “Queen of Herbal Beauty Care”. She has been awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2006.
