Since wearing masks has become an integral part of our lives now, we need to learn to deal with many challenges that come with masks. One of the biggest challenges for makeup lovers is after wearing a face mask lipstick spreads through the mask. If you are also looking for a solution for this then you have come to the right post. If you follow these 5 tips, your lipstick will not spreadin the mask.
Exfoliate
If you have dry and chapped lips then exfoliate your lips twice or thrice a week. You canbuy any good scrub from a plethora of available options or simply use a mix of sugar, coffee, and some water, a homemade lip scrub. Removing the dead skin from the surface of your lips will give you soft, smooth lips.
Remove excess lip balm
Applying a hydrating balm on your lips before applying lipstick is very important. It will nourish and moisturize your lips. Its SPF 15 formula will also protect your lips against sun damage. However, balm makes your lipstick slippery. Now to prevent your lipstick from slipping on it, remove the excess balm before applying lipstick. For this, apply lip balm, leave it for sometime before applying lipstick. Now, before applying lipstick use a tissue or cotton swab to wipe off the excess lip balm.

Apply Lip Liner
Lip liners not only define your lips but also create a smooth canvas for your lipstick to keep it smudge-free. For better results, you can apply a goodwaterproof pigmented lip liner, after that fill the lips with this liner. The liner will give your lips a smooth, matte finish that’s waterproof and make your lipstick smudge-free. In other words, your lipstick will be on the lips, not on the mask.
Avoid glossy lipstick
As much as we love lip glosses and creamy lipsticks, these are not conducive for masks. It would be better if we go for a matte formula, as it does not spread or transfer. You can go for any good liquid matte lipstick.
Apply Setting Powder
To make lipstick last longer, after applying it, place tissue paper over the lips. Now take a little translucent setting powder on a brush and dab it on the tissue. Wipe off the excess powder and remove the tissue. This powder will absorb the excess colour and set your lipstick, ultimately you will be free from the worry of lipstick transfer to your mask.
