Frizz occurs when the cuticle layer of your hair is raised, allowing moisture to pass through and swell the strands. As a result, your hair appears dry and frizzy instead of smooth and defined. There are many things you can do to tame it.
Here are some natural hair masks you can use to treat your frizz:
Olive Oil: Olive oil is an essential hair care ingredient, especially if you have dry hair. Olive oil is an excellent hair conditioner. As a hair care ingredient, it will help keep your hair hydrated, making it more manageable. Olive oil is most effective on hair when used as a deep conditioner. Coat dry hair from roots to ends in olive oil, and wrap it in a warm towel. The heat from the towel will help the oil absorb into your hair. Allow the oil to sink in for 30 minutes and rinse completely.
Honey And Olive Oil hair mask:
Ingredients: ½ cup Raw Honey
¼ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Shower cap
Procedure: Combine the honey and olive oil until you get a smooth mixture. Heat this mixture in the microwave for about 15 seconds. Wash your hair and squeeze it dry with a towel. While your hair is still damp, apply the mixture onto it from the roots to the tips. Once your hair is fully covered in the mixture, cover your hair with a shower cap. After 30 minutes wash your hair with cool water and mild sulfate-free shampoo. This moisture barrier helps condition dry and damaged hair, while also taming frizz.
Raw Egg and Olive Oil hair mask: Whisk one raw egg and mix in a spoonful of olive oil. Egg yolks are rich in fats and proteins, and egg whites contain an enzyme, lysozyme which kill bacteria and remove unwanted oils. Meanwhile, olive oil acts as an emollient that locks moisture into your hair. Apply this mixture to your hair for about 30 minutes before rinsing and washing hair.
Avocado Oil: A person’s scalp naturally creates oil, but sometimes an uneven balance of oil or environmental factors can make a person’s hair dry or brittle. Avocado oil is ideal for hair that is dry due to heat damage and environmental factors. Its high vitamin E contact strengthens hair to prevent breakage while helping to bind split ends together. It is lighter and will absorb into the cuticle without weighing your hair down.
Avocado and banana hair mask:
Ingredients: 1 avocado
1 banana
1 tbsp. avocado oil
1 tbsp. coconut oil
1 tbsp. honey
Mix solids in the blender to avoid lumpy texture. Add the oil and honey after and apply the mask to your hair. Let the paste sit for at least 20 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water.
These hair masks will conditioner your hair.
