In the recent weeks there’s been plenty of rumors and myths about the coronavirus pandemic, Covid 19. One of the most curious is the recent reappearance of a prediction by Late Psychic Sylvia Browne. She wrote in a 2008 novel “ End Of Days”, that “a severe pneumonia-like illness” would sweep the world, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments. She also predicted that, “it would disappear suddenly then reappear ten years later, and then disappear completely”. However 12 years on from the prediction, conspiracy sophist are now claiming that the authors words foretell the outbreak of the coronavirus.
This led to many on social media assuming that Browne had accurately predicted the coronavirus outbreak, and most famous reality star Kim Kardarshian, 39, posted a book excerpt to twitter before copying it to her instagram stories.
But while that prediction seems eerily accurate, others have been tragically wrong. Let’s take a look back at Sylvia Browne’s best and worst predictions over the years.
Who Is Sylvia Browne?
Sylvia Browne, an American author, who claimed to be a medium with psychic abilities. She appeared regularly on shows like Larry King Live and The Montel Williams Show. She also hosted an hour long online radio show on Hay House Radio. Browne was frequently defamed and faced criticism for making many public pronouncements which were subsequently proven false.
Sylvia Browne’s Best Predictions Over The Years:-
The most accurate prediction is the one we’ve already mentioned, from her 2008 novel “End Of Days : Predictions and prophecies about the end of the world”. In this novel, she wrote that a severe illness will spread throughout the globe from the start of 2020, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments(much like the current coronavirus).
Beyond this prediction, it is difficult to find much proof of what Browne got right. She did predict that two people would be arrested for the Oklahoma City bombings. She also predicted that the Jon Benet Ramsey case would never be solved and that Madonna would have another kid by a different man. It is probably fair to say, anyone could have made those last two predictions.
Browne’s Worst Predictions Over The Years:-
Sylvia Browne’s legacy is filled with predictions that not only got wrong, but also caused family members undue stress as a result of her false claims. She said Amanda Berry was dead, which as we all learned recently, the woman who was held hostage by Ariel Castro in Ohio is very much alive. She also told Shawn Hornbeck’s parents that he was dead and had been kidnapped by a dark skinned man. But five years later, Hornbeck was found alive and had been kidnapped by a Caucasian man with short hair.
In March 2010, the committee for Skeptical Inquiry published an article that studied 115 of Sylvia Browne’s predictions related to death and criminal cases. 25 cases are completely wrong, and the remaining had no available details or remained unsolved. She also claimed that she would die at the age of 88, but she passed away at the age of 77.
