Actress Payal Ghosh has accused Bollywood’s famous director Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment. This case is about 5 to 6 years old, but the actress has now raised her voice.
The actress says Anurag called her home and forced her on. Anurag has also presented his stand on the matter and his lawyer Priyanka Khimani has also described the allegations as baseless.
Payal Ghosh Started Her Acting Carrier in Sharpe’s Peril
Payal was born on 13 November 1989 in Kolkata. She studied at St. Paul’s Mission School in Kolkata and Political Science Honors from the Scottish Church College Kolkata, Kolkata.
The actress started her acting career with the Sean Bean starrer TV film Sharpe’s Peril. Although she had a small role in that film and played the role of a village girl and the daughter of a Bengali freedom fighter.
Payal’s family members did not want her to pursue a career in the film industry, but she followed her passion and fled from Kolkata to Mumbai. In Mumbai, she joined Kishore Acting Academy.
After this Payal got role offers in some films. She acted in Telugu and Kannada films and has also appeared in Star Plus’ famous serial ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ in 2016 in the role of Radhika.
In 2017, Payal made her debut in Hindi Film. She made her debut with the romantic comedy film Patel’s Punjabi wedding. In this film, she appeared in the lead role alongside Rishi Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vir Das, and Prem Chopra. Although this film did not run on screen.

Now coming back to today, she accused Anurag Kashyap after so many years of what happened to her. She said in a statement that, “I tried to say it before also when the #MeToo movement had started, but my family and friends stopped me. ‘You can’t talk, your career will be spoiled,’ they told me. I posted about this also, tagging Anurag, but deleted it.”
